OOTS Cards - Demon Roachesby ~Avistew

Last but - I think- not least, Team Evil!!! aka the Demon Roaches suite (or just roaches), along with the black Joker (Xykon's crown).

The Jack is the Creature in the Darkness, extremely powerful unknown creature who likes tea party (currently playing with his Xykon and Redcloak dolls).

The Queen is Redcloak, sarcastical goblin, high priest of the Dark one, my favourite character (which you know if you've browsed my gallery

) and someone who compares with Roy as for what he has to endure.

The King is Xykon, powerful lich (ex-human sorcerer), with no heart whatsoever (literally and figuratively), currently in a pose that I think he has quite often in the books, and that I wanted to try (mostly to see if I could draw the bones in the hands right).

The characters (including the roaches, who alone would make the comic worth it even if it wasn't already amazingly great) belong to Rich Burlew. The crown (now) belongs to Xykon (kind of).

Redcloak is my favourite character to draw, no contest. You can have so much fun with his expressions ^^
For the creature, it was tricky as of course nobody knows what it is, and I wanted scary eyes because he's supposed to be scary (even if he isn't).
So to keep the kid part of him, I had him play with dolls ^^. That also makes the card more full than, you know, just shadows and eyes.

I love the creature playing with his toys, and poor Red Cloak trying ot deal with working for Xylon! But it's the roaches that make the set.

Those cards are really a great idea!
Redcloaks pose is perfect - I should have done that one, too.

And Xykon's is very funny - you don't even want to know, what he just came up with.

The roaches as symbols are very appropriate, too!
